Built for education
Nextgen Blur is used by schools to protect pupils and keep browsing appropriate in the classroom and on school devices.
- Primary schools – Simple blur and block rules for younger children.
- High schools – Configurable filtering and dashboard oversight for IT and safeguarding leads.
- All-through and MATs – One extension, one dashboard, consistent policy across sites.
Schools can configure blur and block rules from the dashboard, see when rules are applied, and keep settings in sync across devices—without collecting pupils’ personal data beyond what’s needed to run the service.
How it works
Install the extension, set your rules via the dashboard, and Nextgen Blur applies blur and block in real time as users browse the Monitored Sites.
1. Install the Nextgen Blur extension from the Chrome Web Store.
2. Configure word rules on the dashboard.
3. Blur and block rules run automatically. You can turn off monitoring from the dashboard, on a per site / device basis.
